Do people with depression mean what they say? What is the difference between being depressed and being sad? Is there a spiritual explanation for depression?
Its understanding is that depression is not an illness that has to be cure but rather that depression is felt as a deepening: an invitation into the depths and truth of who we are. It is not a sign of personal weakness or a condition that can be wished away.
