There are certain behavioral traits that are quite common in depressed individuals and are worth being aware of. Part of this is a lack of interest, and part is the fear of being the Debbie Downer of the group. Losing interest in activities you once enjoyed.
Having problems with sleeping. Experiencing changes in your appetite or weight. Feeling sluggish or agitated.
If you have a loved one with depression, take any suicidal talk or behavior seriously and watch for the warning signs : Talking about killing or harming one’s self. Expressing strong feelings of hopelessness or being trapped. An unusual preoccupation with death or dying. Acting recklessly, as if.
