If your girlfriend is feeling depressed , she may begin to withdraw from you and from other social activities, or may be more irritable or quick to anger. Although it can be har she needs your help and support.

Try little (but helpful) things like: Getting her lunch. Picking up groceries for her. Taking her car to the carwash. Play your part and help her get proper treatment.
Don’t try to rush things when she is getting treatment. Find some support in friends and family members. Engage in productive activities with her. Do not leave her home all the time.
Only play the role of the partner. Support her healing strategies. Turn the conversation to something optimistic. Let her know how you love her. Understand her triggers and avoid setting.
Go for walks and get her out and moving as often as possible to distract her.

It never clicked while this was going on that it might have been down to her depression. It took me a while to actually accept that Hannah’s depression existed.
Well not really accept, but understand. I always knew it was there, but didn’t know how to deal with it. And this can be a problem in a relationship. One day you’re connected to yourself, and therefore your partner too, and the next day you don’t feel connected to anything. Persons suffering from depression should be encouraged to share their feelings, talk about their fears, and be taught to overcome the same. I haven’t read the other , but I can answer this from personal experience. I’ve broken up with someone because I was severely depressed.
