Feeling sad during early pregnancy

Is it normal to feel sad during first trimester? How does it feel to be depressed during pregnancy? Is crying Alot bad during pregnancy? Feeling sad at times throughout your pregnancy is completely normal.


However, it is when you start feeling sad or having thoughts of suicide or hopelessness for periods of time lasting two weeks. In fact, the feelings can continue to compound.

There are several factors which cause depression and anxiety in pregnant women. For mostly there is a societal pressure when you have to behave up to the expectations of your friends and family members even if you are feeling down inside. And women who have prenatal depression don’t want. Being the victim of abuse : Feelings of low self-esteem, helplessness and isolation can all contribute to depression symptoms. Depression during pregnancy , or antepartum depression, is a mood disorder just like clinical depression.


Mood disorders are biological illnesses that involve changes in brain chemistry. During pregnancy , hormone changes can affect the chemicals in your brain, which are directly related to depression and anxiety. Pregnant with DC weeks on, and I must admit I am feeling very depressed.


The pregnancy was planned and am happily married and have a wonderful DSbut am just so depressed all the time these days!

Its very difficult to feel happy about anything at the moment and I put alot of it down to hormones. I have been feeling very depressed lately. The first week I found out I was pregnant , I walked around the world feeling unremittingly elated.


I felt a constant buzz of mirthful energy coming from inside of me. About of moms will feel sad or anxious after having a new baby, and these feelings usually resolve within two weeks. An estimated percent to percent of women will experience symptoms of depression during pregnancy. However, these depressive symptoms are often more minor than a full-blown diagnosis of depression, which is typically seen in about of pregnant women and new mothers. My First pregnancy was a dream and with this second pregnancy all i feel is sad , guilty, anxious, OVERWHELME And worried.


I hate not feeling like myself. I sincerely hope and have faith that in a few more weeks my HORMONES will even out and i will come out of this dark Fog. Some women may suffer from depression during their first trimester due to the major physical changes that are taking place. And this combination of symptoms can lead to depression. Moodiness: Yes, hormones will be paying havoc with your mood during your pregnancy, yet if you are feeling constantly bad-tempered with those around you, or you can’t stop crying there may be more going on.


The truth is, women often experience a range of emotions during pregnancy , even if they and their partners are excited about the baby and planned it from the get-go. Talk to your doctor and trust your instincts. Your baby’s birth day can be joyful too.
